The SAFE Sticker, created by our founder Martin, has been thoroughly tested for measurement accuracy and reproducibility and results have shown the SAFE Sticker can be trusted to measure solar UV exposure required for solar disinfection (SODIS) of water to be performed.
Incredibly Portable
The SAFE Sticker is 2cm x 2cm in size and very light and thin. As such, more than a thousand SAFE Stickers can be packed in a container the size of a deck of cards. This makes them easily transportable, so they can reach very remote communities and areas with a higher level of ease than any other form of water disinfection.
Significantly Scalable
The SAFE Sticker is scalable in it's use. Only one sticker needs to be used to produce a batch of drinkable water. It does not need a sticker for each bottle. If all the water bottles are exposed at the same time, in the same conditions, one sticker can verify that they are all safe to drink. That means, if a community works together, thousands of litres of water could be verified to be drinkable and safe via SODIS by just ONE SAFE Sticker.
Exceptionally Inexpensive
The SAFE Sticker is one of the world's cheapest forms of water disinfection. Other devices can be expensive for families who live off less than $2 a day. The SAFE Sticker, is a fraction of the price and can provide a family with safe drinking water affordably, HERE, NOW, TODAY.
No Upfront Infrastructure
The SAFE Sticker is immediately deployable without the need for any other infrastructure, cost or equipment except for a used (or new) clear plastic or glass bottle which are easily obtainable.

The SAFE Sticker has been designed to be water proof, can withstand extreme terrain temperatures and conditions and is ideal for use in harsh environments where extreme poverty exists.

The SODIS Sticker is an extraordinary invention. The so-called SODIS Sticker makes it possible to measure the UV exposure of water treated by solar disinfection in developing countries. Compared to the usual devices for performing this measurement (UV meters), the system is easy to use and very inexpensive. When the inner ring is exposed to the sun, it gradually changes color, and when both rings have the same color, the water can be considered as being disinfected and ready to be drunk.
